How music found me.
I picked up the guitar at 11, inspired by James Taylor, Carole King and Neil Young.
Self-taught at first, I later learned fingerpicking in lessons and studied music theory and musicianship at Oberlin.
After returning to playing seriously, I began teaching.

My BA in Psychology, MA in Education, and past work as a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Clinical Social Worker shape how I teach.
